Terms and Conditions

Joben is an online service provided by TETA ABC SRL (tax ID 22404824, trade register J2007001135104, Str. Centrală nr. 169, sat Mărăcineni, Buzău County, 127325, Romania, hello@joben.eu), referred to below as "Joben" or "we".

By creating an account (ticking acceptance of the Terms and the Privacy Policy) or by using the service, for example the free ATS checker without an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The contract is concluded in Romanian or English, according to the language of the page you use.

Joben is intended for people looking for a job and using it for personal purposes. You must be at least 16 to use the service and at least 18 (or have the consent of your legal representative) to buy a paid plan.

Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details safe and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity in your account. An account is personal and cannot be shared or resold. Joben is for personal use. Creating documents for other people, for a fee or for commercial purposes (for example by recruitment agencies or consultants), requires our written consent. For team use, write to hello@joben.eu.

Joben offers a CV and cover letter editor, templates, CV import, ATS checking, AI-assisted analysis, job tailoring and rewriting, and export to PDF or DOCX. Features and monthly limits depend on the plan and are shown on the pricing page.

We may improve, change or withdraw features. For changes that significantly affect your access to or use of a paid service we notify you in advance, and your statutory rights on the conformity of digital services remain unchanged.

The AI features use language models provided by Anthropic. Results are generated automatically by an artificial intelligence system, may contain mistakes or unsuitable wording and are informational. Before sending a CV or letter to an employer, check, edit and validate all content.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your CV. Do not use Joben to invent experience, degrees or references. The ATS score is an indicative estimate based on general rules, and each employer and recruiting system works differently. Joben does not assess candidates for employers and does not make hiring decisions.

Details on AI data processing are in the Privacy Policy.

Joben is a tool for writing and optimising CVs. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, passing an ATS filter or any other employment outcome.

Prices are shown in RON on the pricing page and at checkout. Displayed prices are final; the provider is not a VAT payer. Payments are processed by Stripe, and the order confirmation and payment document reach your email.

• The Free plan has the limits shown and involves no payment.
• The 14-day Interview Pass is a one-off payment, with no automatic renewal, and gives Pro access for 14 days.
• The Pro (monthly) and Recruiting Plan (6 months) plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown at checkout, until cancelled.

You can cancel a subscription at any time in Settings (the Stripe billing portal) or by deleting your account. Cancelling stops future renewals, and access continues until the end of the period already paid. If we change the price of a subscription, we notify you at least 30 days in advance and the new price applies from the next renewal; you can cancel before then.

Monthly AI usage limits in each plan are those shown. Promo codes and Pro days from the referral programme are personal, have no cash value and we may refuse or withdraw them in case of abuse. We may change or end the referral programme, and rewards already granted stay valid.

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving a reason (Art. 9 of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014). To withdraw, send us a clear statement at hello@joben.eu stating your name, your account email and the order. You may use the model withdrawal form in GEO no. 34/2014. We confirm receipt and refund the amounts paid within 14 days at most, using the same payment method.

If you asked for access to start immediately during the withdrawal period, on withdrawal you pay an amount proportionate to the access period used up to then, and the rest is refunded.

For the 14-day Interview Pass, at Stripe checkout you give your express consent to access starting immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal to the extent the law (Art. 16 of GEO no. 34/2014) allows this exception. If the exception does not apply, the rules above apply.

Apart from the right of withdrawal and statutory guarantee rights, amounts paid for an access period that has already started are not refunded. If a paid service did not work as described, write to us and we will fix it or refund proportionately, as the law requires.

You agree not to:

• use Joben for illegal or fraudulent activity or activity that infringes the rights of others
• upload content you have no right to use, or other people's personal data without a legal basis
• attempt unauthorised access, bypass usage limits, overload the service or scrape content automatically
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service or templates as a separate product
• use the AI features to generate illegal, deceptive or harassing content
• create documents for third parties for a fee or for commercial purposes without our written consent

You remain the owner of the rights in the content you create or upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence, valid while you have an account, solely to process that content to provide the service to you, including sending it to our AI and infrastructure providers. We do not use your content to train AI models.

You warrant that you have the right to use the content you upload. You can export or delete your data at any time in Settings.

Suggestions and ideas you send us about the service may be used by us to improve it, without compensation and without any obligation to implement them. They do not include the content of your CVs.

The Joben platform, software, brand, texts, templates and related materials are protected by intellectual property law and belong to Joben or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service. The documents you export (CVs, letters) can be used freely by you for your job applications.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. Support is provided at hello@joben.eu, with priority for paid plans.

You can end the contract at any time by deleting your account in Settings; deletion also cancels an active subscription and is permanent: the data cannot be recovered. Accounts with no sign-in for 24 months are deleted after a warning email sent 30 days before (Privacy Policy, section 6). We may end the service as a whole, with at least 30 days’ notice and a proportionate refund of the paid and unused period.

We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, a security risk, fraud or a legal obligation. Where possible we tell you the reason and give you the chance to fix the situation. If termination is due to us or to reasons not attributable to you, we refund the paid and unused period proportionately.

If you are a consumer, you benefit from the statutory rights on the conformity of digital content and digital services (Directive (EU) 2019/770, transposed in Romania). Nothing in these terms restricts them.

We do not exclude or limit liability for acts committed intentionally or with gross negligence, for injury to life, bodily integrity or health, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and our liability for direct damages is limited to the amounts you paid in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damages, for the loss of a job opportunity or for decisions taken on the basis of AI suggestions.

We are not liable for non-performance caused by force majeure or by outages of third-party infrastructure providers beyond our reasonable control.

The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, and the use of cookies in the Cookie Policy. Both are part of the information given to you and apply alongside these terms.

If you have a problem, write to hello@joben.eu and we will try to resolve it amicably. As a consumer you can also turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro) or to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body listed on anpc.ro. These routes are optional and do not affect your right to go to court.

The European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was closed on 20 July 2025.

These terms are governed by Romanian law and European Union law. If you are a consumer, you benefit from the mandatory protection of the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts of your country. For users who are not consumers, disputes are resolved by the competent courts at our registered office in Buzău County.

We may change these terms for legitimate reasons, for example legal changes, new features or security measures. For significant changes we notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not accept a change, you can end the contract before it applies, with a proportionate refund of the paid and unused period. Earlier versions are available on request.

If any provision of these terms is void or unenforceable, the others remain valid. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, are the entire understanding between us about the service. We may not assign the contract without preserving your rights.
